Today I went for Prayer and Power night. The first service in GII! Hohoho. Quite interesting seeing the building for the first time. I was savouring all its wonderful NEWNESS. I even went so far as to refuse to go to toilet in Mei Yin's house, just so I could use GII's toilet.
My goodness, the things I do. Like Kezia would say:
"What IS the point?"While worshipping I was trying to imagine how big God was. Cos I felt that was so distracted, and I kept trying to imagine how glorious and magnificent He was. Like, I was trying to imagine, so that I would comprehend what I was singing for sure. Like, I don't want to just sing empty praises.
Han Ning was in my house yesterday and we were talking about Christian-y (her words XD) stuff. So she was sharing about how her pastor was talking about how great the universe was, and how God, being the creator of this universe, was so much bigger. And I was thinking, God created me, and I only use 3% of my brain...How could I possibly GET GOD?
I couldn't imagine. I couldn't even BEGIN to imagine.
So like I said, I was trying and trying during service. I asked God, "So how big are You exactly?"
I was so frustrated over it (so lame of me -_-;;).
Then I heard a voice (THE voice) that went: "Your head can't understand it, but your heart can."
I think sometimes when people get so into theology and everything, they start trying to use their brains too much. Let's face it, 3% of a human brain isn't gonna get us far. God is rationality and yet transcends rationality, doesn't He?
When I finally started opening up my heart instead, not only could I truly feel the presence of God, I was able to comprehend it.
Maybe that is it...by focusing on God I was one step closer to Him, and it is only through that that I was able to comprehend His greatness. Oh and I finally got to speak to
Samantha after the longest time. She dresses so much better now. Her style and everything, so dainty and pretty. AND she thinks I was silly for thinking that she didn't like me anymore.
Well like I said, the things I do. The things I feel...
Seriously!
